I believe this has to be done by reading or writing data records

Hi thanks for the reply 

I can control the drive over profinet but I need to set some parameters from the PLC/HMI

(ramp time etc) the drive has only 4 words in the hardware catalog/configuration

When You using Invertek with PROFINET cart it's limited to this 4 words.

You can exchange more data, by only by Modbus

how is it going with the programming of the INVERTEK optidrive? i'm trying to check too, but i don't understand which WORD to use, i just find the tutorial to insert gsdm files

Access to drive parameters via Profinet uses the Record Data Read / Write service of API0. The table gives the API, Slot, Sub Slot, and Index for
each parameter.
All parameter values can be read from the drive and written to, depending on the operating mode of the drive – some parameters cannot be
changed whilst the drive is enabled for example.

what was your experience with that?
