CPU 416-2 DP compatibility

hubertluczak Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I am running PCS7 V7.0 version with CPU 416-2 DP 6ES7 416-2XN05-0AB0. For the moment I would like to change the CPU to 6ES7 416-2XP07-0AB0. Is that compatible with that version of PCS7? I don't see that CPU in HW catalog, even after installing updates. Any of you could advice?

However, you can manually add the CPU to your hardware configuration by following these steps: 1. Open the SIMATIC Manager and navigate to your project folder. 2. From the menu bar, select "Options" and then "Install New Hardware...". 3. In the "Install/Remove Products" dialog box, select "Add new component". 4. Select "System Components" from the list and click "Next". 5. Browse through the list of components and select "CPU 416-2XP07-0AB0". 6. Follow the prompts to complete the installation process. After completing these steps, you should be able to use the CPU 416-2XP07-0AB0 in your PCS7 V7.0 project. However, keep in mind that you may need to update your firmware or make other adjustments to your system to fully support the new CPU.
