Issue creating new application - WinCC Flexible 2005 SP1

Dutch112 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I am a new user trying to create an application by following the "Getting Started - First-Time Users" help topic. I follow the wizard to create an applicatoin for a TP277. When the wizard completes, I am missing a lot of items in the "Project" toolbar. I only see the following items: - Language Settings - Strucutres - Version Mangement The screen shot in the help indicates I should have much more under the "Project" tree - the device, recipes, Communication, etc. When I right click on the project name and select the "Add Device" option, select the TP277 or any other panel, it doesn't get added to the project tree - nothing happens and no errors or warnings are shown. Dutch112 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have the advanced version Build K1.1.1.0_1.34.0.5.This is not on a fresh install. I did try creating a project without the wizard.

Jesper Pedersen Posts: 279 Rating: (30)	It looks like only the bottommost entries in the project tree are displayed. Can you navigate the project tree by the arrow keys ? In the User Interface Options is a button to Reset the user interface. Try to use this to see if it gives you back the rest of the project tree.

This is not normal behaviour of Flexible and it may be caused by wrong/damaged installation. Before repairing installation you may need to install (or reinstall) SP1 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/23059737 And after install HF7 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24758642

You can add a new device.Click on "TP277_Test" with the right mouse button and click then in the context menu on "Add Device". Bye
