Hello, I'm trying to change an IP address to my PLC s7-1200. I always use PRONETA and it works but this time it doesn't allow me to change it.

If I set new network parameter or I reset as factory parameter my PLC it appears a pop-up that says "failed setup".

Any suggestions?

hi,

there is a parameter in the interface of the PLCs that allows you to change the IP-address. If this parameter isn´t set, the PLC is getting its IP from the project, that is loaded to it and changing is not possible.

What kind of "parameters"? where is it located and how to access it (e.g., ET 200SP CPU 1512SP-1 PN)?

I Believe what he meant was at Device Configuration > Chosen CPU > Ethernet Addresses.
If the option "Set IP address in the project" is selected, then you won't be able to change it with proneta.

There are two other options, "Use Router" or "IP adress is set directly at device". Im not sure which one since ive never had this issue before so i would guess "IP address is set directly at the device" is what you are looking for.

The reson could be your PC IP address and your Current IP address of your PLC are not in the same rang. If it's the case first you need to change your PC IP address to the PLC Ip adress the you are able to change your PLC IP address to your desire IP address thento be able to make connection again with your PLC you need to change your PC IP address to the same range as your PLC.
