Hi folks,

In our plant we have KTP700 HMI installed in one of the machine.

We have lost this HMI user administration logon and it's password during documentation.

Unfortunately we don't have the original project backup also.

Is any others ways to reset or bypass the password login in this HMI

Do you have any sample project to work from? Or was the project done by another company? It would be best if you knew which security groups there are. Otherwise it becomes more tricky and maybe impossible.

[RESTORE LOGIN]

By default a user log-in is locked if x3 wrong attempts are made to log in. For this case there is the need to download the program again. A backup can be used. Create the backup by uploading the compiled program from the HMI using ProSave or WinCC (TIA). Downloading this backup back to the HMI, restores the original user logins.

Look at the entry from user "Ayman Elotaify" in
[Problem to get access in the SIMATIC panel].

The base idea (which deviates from the above) is..

1. Make a backup of the HMI program using ProSave / WinCC.
   
   
2. Create in WinCC an empty project which contains the user login security.
   
   
3. Download the empty project that has the user login security
   
   
4. Download the backup back into the HMI.
   BUT do not load the user login security with the download.
