Is it possible to use IM153-2 ( 6ES7 153-2BA02-0XB0 ) with a single 400 CPU?

We tested it with PCS7 V9.0 and compiled it in HWConfig without error, but after downloading to CPU, we cannot communicate with IMs. When we replace the IM153-2 with IM153-1 ( 6ES7 153-1AA03-0XB0 ), the communication is established and fault is gone.

Does "compiling in software without error" mean that it definitely must work in practice? Is there any other thing we should consider?

Since we have lots of IM153-2 in this case, I'll appreciate your ideas about this problem and possible solutions.
