Hello all.

Please help..!! I am trying to setup my S7-1511-1PN as an MQTT client to a remote Mosquito broker via a CP1543-1 Card.

I have confirmed the broker is reachable at 169.254.118.10 on port 1883.

I have set my MQTT settings as per the screen shots attached, i.e. 169.254.118.20 with a virtual 169.254.118.21 (not sure if this is needed).

I have run tests with differing hwID's and I am a little unsure about connection ID, what it should be or where to find it.

I keep getting 16#8620 as a fault.

Happy for any ideas... MQTT is new to me...

Hi JJbGUD,

To be honest, I'm not so experienced with MQTT with S7-1500 PLC but cechking your configuration this got my attention. Seems that the IP of your broker (169.254.118.10 (translated from HEX)) is also the IP of your router. 

I would double check those IPs one more time.

Checked ok but a good call..!!

I think this is down to the PLC-CP communication, I can't access the PLC via the CP so I'm guessing I've missed something...

Did you try using the integrated ethernet interface of the PLC? Did it work in that case?

The information  from the scrennshot attached from the MQTT application example in SIOS also got my attention. 

Whats your CP fw version?
