PLC and NX MCD TCP communication

luka31 Experienced Member Joined: 4/3/2017 Last visit: 11/19/2025 Posts: 69 Rating: (1)	Hi, I have NX 12.0.2.9 version, TIA Portal v17, and s7 1511T PLC. Also, I have PLCSIM Advanced 4.0. I know how to connect NX MCD and PLCSIM Advanced. Also, I can make PLC as OPC UA server, and it also works. But I want faster communication between PLC and NX MCD. How to setup e.g., TCP connection between PLC and NX MCD? How to configure it in TIA Portal? Should I use TCON for establishing communication? PLC should act as a server? What port should I set for PLC? Also, I want to simulate TCP connection with PLCSim advanced and NX (so not classical PLCSIM Advanced connection). Is it doable? How to set a connection in PLCSIM Advanced? I suppose it should be set to a virtual adapter, but is it local or ethernet...? And finally, I read that it is possible to establish profinet communication between PLC and NX. But I need to have a PC Station on laptop where is NX. Can someone give me more information about that? Thanks
