Hello to all,

when trying to open one old STEP 7 project, I receive an error message:

"The project contains objects of the sw package 'HW-Update', which cannot be edited because the earlier SW package is not installed or exists in an earlier version".

I'm using STEP 7 v 5.5

In order to solve this, I have downloaded the latest HSP package for HW Updates in STEP 7 (version from 05/2023) from this link:

However even after the updates are successfully installed, when opening the project  I still get the same error and because of it, the project is not editable. 

Is there something else I can try in order to find out specific what is causing this problem?

HI,

which version of V5.5 (including servicepacks and hotfixes) is used?

Because some HSP can only be used with an specific version auf STEP 7 and/or are only supplied/installed up from an specific version.

it is STEP 7 v5.5

Revision Level: v5.5.0.0

There is also this:

STEP7 2010 Professional v5.5 V5.5.0.0_25.6.0.1

No other relevant data is available in Help/About window.

install latest SP and UPD for Step7 V5.5
