Hi I ma using v90 and s7-1200 together with SINA_POS block. I am using GSDML version with TIA 15.1 .

I have a mode in my program that I need my actual position to be set 0 before activating it. So When I receive a request to activate that mode I set ModePos to 5 and perform referencing. Some times it succesfully does the operation but sometimes it gives following error. Sould I do something else before executing a homing command? Motor is always at standstill when executing the command.

Are you able to set modepos to 5 while the drive is not enabled?  No way to receive following errors if the drive is not enabled.

You can always use position translation within the PLC logic and allow the drive and load position to have whatever relationship they want to naturally have.  At startup, capture current position.  Then when commanding, send relative position to a block managing movement that takes the "home" offset and translates it into absolute position before sending to SINA_POS.
