Yer Posts: 86 Rating: (7)	All, How cani display a PDF-filewith more then e.g. 50 pages in WinCC/PCS7 without access to Windows? in other treads is explained how to open a PDF but you have access to windows via the menu (for example File>open) Thanks, Yer

Use WinCCWebBrowser control in your graphical page to display the required .pdf file. Configure the control so that users cannot browse to a different webpage.("No" for properties Enabled and StatuBar) Using Adobe professional define the initial view of the pdf file such that menubar and toolbars are not visible when the file is opened. You can also chose to start it in full screen mode. Disable "F8" key using Scancode Map. (optional) The above steps should do the trick. However by using shortcut key "F8", the users can see the tool bars for your pdf. That way they can have access to the "Save a copy" button and thus access to "windows". To avoid this, you may choose to disable "F8" permanently using "Scancode Map"

This is a one time activity that you need to perform on the .pdf file that you will be viewing. And you can do that activity on any PC. best regards.

daga Gold Member Joined: 3/18/2009 Last visit: 12/9/2025 Posts: 306 Rating: (95)	In case you use the WinCC web Browser then, in Windows explorer - Tools>Folder Options - in "File Types" associate .xls to open with internet explorer. Teach your users the shortcut "Ctrl + S". Or may be create a button with a macro/vba script to save the file (I haven't done this myself, but i think this is also possible )
