Hi Experts,

I have an old PLC using CPU 315-2DP and wanted to communicate with Profinet device.Instead of upgrading CPU to 315-2PN/DP, I choose to add hardware CP343-1 (6GK7 343-1EX30-0XE0).

In SIMATIC Manager HW Configuration, I have inserted CP343-1 and created a new Network, but it doesn't show me the Profinet line. Hence, I couldn't add GSDML file to establish the Profinet communication.

Is there any other setting need to be done? Or I have choose a wrong part?

Hello,

it is also possible that your PN network line is covered by this HW cfg window so try move this window little bit to sides to see maybe that line. Then you can move that line to other position and move that rack window back.

 Should be easily fixed by right clicking on the X1 PN-IO slot and select "Insert PROFINET IO system"

Yup, your solution is work perfectly, thank you! I was so siliy that thought just insert Network, but in fact need an extra step to insert Profinet IO to complete it.
