Hello all,

I have an M876-4 SCALANCE module that i plan on using for remote connections to an S7-1500 PLC System.

Currently, I have the M876 setup and SIM card connecting to cell service.

I have port 1 of the M876 connected to a switch shared by a PLC and HMI.

I noticed in TIA Portal there are plenty of options for configuring and settings for the M876, aswell as options to connect/download.

How can I access the M876 in TIA Portal? Everytime I try an "extended go online" and choosing the accessible device in the search, it seems that it trys to connect before failing. 

I've also tried using the "Hardware detection" and letting it pull the module into my project, but it also fails even after finding it as accessible device.

Things ive tried:

Ive changed the default VLAN IP of the M876 to a 172.16.x.x and also verified my PC ethernet adapter is on the same subnet and mask.

Restarted the M876 after changes.

Does anyone have any knowledge on how to connect to the M876 with TIA portal so i can import it and its settings into my project?

Update:

I opened the firewall on the internal V4 VLAN and now it seems to not timeout, but instead gives an error in TIA portal saying "Device could not be added because the article number of the device could not be found"

Update:

Was able to connect to the M876 in TIA via the SNMP connection, However it shows an available IE connection that fails to connect whenever i try it.
