Heya,

I have a KTP700 PN (6AV2 123-2GB03-0AX0) running the v13 firmware. The exact device information, from ProSave, is as follows:

I need to update the firmware, but the issue is that the device won't accept ANY image I select. I've tried pretty much any version of the KTP700 firmware, from 13 to 18, and I always get the same :

I tried the images that come bundled with TIA Portal (versions 15, 17 and 18), I tried the images downloaded specifically for this panel (from https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109746530/image-downloads-for-hmi-operator-panels), I tried both with TIA Portal and with ProSave, but nothing works. 

Somethin I'm missing here, or is my panel just messed up? Tips much appreciated ;)

Are the panel images that you are downloading from the link you mentioned the ones that I show you on the screenchot?

Yup, those are among the ones I have tried (and a few others in addition). From Portal v18 I tried the images found in the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V18\Data\Hmi\Transfer\17.0\Images\KTP700

C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V18\Data\Hmi\Transfer\15.1\Images\KTP700

C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V18\Data\Hmi\Transfer\14.0.1\Images\KTP700

C:\Program Files\Siemens\Automation\Portal V18\Data\Hmi\Transfer\13.0.1\Images\KTP700

I also pulled the images from TIA Portal v17 and v15, no luck with them either.

Maybe you should reset the panel to factory settings and then try loading the images again.

You can do a factory reset via USB:

USB Recovery (Reset to factory) Mode for 2nd Generation Basic Panels

Thank you, worked like a charm! After updating to v14 through the USB recovery mode I was able to use the native TIA Portal way to update to v17.
