Parcel Over-length detection

Erik Skou Member Joined: 11/1/2019 Last visit: 10/9/2024 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I need to detect if a parcel on a conveyer belt is too long using two pec's with the maximum allowed parcel length as distance. Any ideas how to do that? It sounds immediately easy. But we have to be sure that it is the same parcel that blocks both pec's.

If "something" act in both sensors at same time, it is a faul state. However it could be possible that "different things" act in the sensor individually logic suggestion Each BeginSensor positive edge increase a counter1 Each EndSensor positive edge increase a counter2 if BeginSensor and EndSensor are true and counter 1 = counter 2, then there is a fault state.

Gerard_mx Advanced Member Joined: 6/14/2014 Last visit: 9/25/2024 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hello. I suggest you use a normally open contact for the begin sensor and a positive edge detection contact for the end sensor. If Begin sensor = TRUE and End sensor positive edge = TRUE, SET an alarm bit.
