Hello experts!

I would like to read the IP addresses of devices connected to my Scalance XC208 in TIAv16. I have seen something similarly done in a project with TIAv15.1. 

I don't know where the LPNDR_... blocks are coming from, since the library hadn't been saved with the project. 

Can you please tell me where to find those?

Thank you for your answer. I trust you've had a good Easter. I have found the blocks, but the problems didn't end there. I have managed to populate the FB's interface (correctly, I hope, as there are no errors) and looked through the DB for it. The purpose of this project is to identify the IP addresses of all devices, plugged into the Scalance at any time. There are many things to read from the switch, but not all memory areas in the DB populate when I go online with it. With SINEC-PNI I can read all the information, that I need, though. I'd like to do the same via the Scalance switch. Is that even possible? Perhaps I need a different switch or FB e.g.? Any input would be fantastic right now.

Hello Stefan,

I was afraid this might be the case (not finding the IP addresses). The reason for the IP address to matter is our network structure and the availability of access to the switches. It does happen, that a machine malfunctions due to up- or down stream problems. Sometimes its a communication fault and a good place to start, is to see what is actually connected to the network or what's missing.  Also IT (OT) has assigned certain ports to certain entities and blocked others. A simple whip-around to the Scalance switches would sort the problems straightaway into categories such as IT or Automation problems.
