How to make transparent background in graphic - unified HMI Tia Portal v18

Thenameinforum Member Joined: 9/7/2022 Last visit: 11/19/2025 Posts: 34 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a .bmp graphic file which I want to add to faceplate, but I don't know where to set a transparent options. In comfort panel there is no problem with setting transparent background in this graphic. I have a transparent option chosen, as on picture. There may be some options which I didn't find or maybe this file must be other format? I made a graphic type with this image in the project library, so I can add it to my faceplate as "Graphic view". Can anyone help with this?

May it be caused by latest update? I have a 18.0.0.2 version of tia portal now. In the same time I am doing faceplate for advanced wincc and transparency option works with the same graphic. gvatte Hello Thenameinforum! Stefan Arcularius Platinum Expert Joined: 1/21/2013 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 4405 Rating: (653)	Hi Thenameinforum, The transparency of a graphic in WinCC Unified is not the same as in WinCC Comfort/Advanced. While in WinCC Comfort/Advanced you can select a color that is to be displayed as transparent, in WinCC Unified you need a graphic that already contains transparency settings. For WinCC Unified, the file type of the graphic is important. From the list of supported graphic types, .ico, .gif, .tif, .png and *,.svg should support transparency. Kind regards Stefan
