S1500: TCON problem

fpin Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm trying to do a program where I have an FB that I want to use to estabilish 30 connection using TCON. I want to call this function 30 times (with different ID and IP for the TCON function) In the FB, I defined a variable like this: DB_Com as "TCON_IP_v4" and I set the value as follow: L 64 T #DB_ComCh.InterfaceId L #ID // Input parameter of FB T #DB_ComCh.ID L 16#0B T #DB_ComCh.ConnectionType SET = #DB_ComCh.ActiveEstablished L 192 T #DB_ComCh.RemoteAddress.ADDR[1] L 168 T #DB_ComCh.RemoteAddress.ADDR[1] L 1 T #DB_ComCh.RemoteAddress.ADDR[3] L #IP // Input parameter of FB T #DB_ComCh.RemoteAddress.ADDR[4] L 2115 // I need this for the device that I want to connect T #DB_ComCh.RemotePort L 0 T #DB_ComCh.LocalPort I do this before call the TCON function. My problem is that the TCON function goes in error with the status 16#80A4 and I don't know what I have to do. Thank for replies

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hello, 80A4 means that you use the same IP address for S7-1500 and the remote partner. You can find this information in the online help of TCON as well as in the TIA manual. Regards, Kaulquappe

I’m sure that the IP is correct. If I disconnect the cable of the device I cannot ping it. So no other device use that IP. If I try the TCON outside the FB and define the “CONNECT” DB from the properites of TCON, I can estabilsh the connection. So the problem looks something else.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hello, well, in this case it seems to be a logical / timing error in your program. Use a break point when calling TCON and check the IP in the online mode of the TCON instance DB. Regards, Kaulquappe
