It depends when the Script should run, if it should run in a acreen context then you can use any property dynamisation (for example also on a not visible dummy object)

If the Script should run in a global context you can use the Sheduled tasks

Maybe you could create a ciclic script that runs every second and evaluates the value of the PLC variable in WinCC. If the bool variable changes state, from the cyclic script you could trigger the recording.
