Thanks for you replay. One more question. In your provided TIA project , I can see the value 257 with the description "Local1~PROFINET_interface_1~HsystemIPRef_1" .Also in the PLC tags there is one more tag with the description "Local2~PROFINET_interface_1~HsystemIPRef_1" with the value 269. 

Assume that the first refer to the PLC1 and the second to PLC2. When the PLC1 is "Primary" then assume (again) that the HW IP is 257. When the PLC2 is "Primary" the HW IP is 269, or remain the same as previous stage 257?

Were you able to make it work? I'm in a similar scenario, MODBUS Client block, but with redundant 1500 CPU.
