Hi Dear Colleagues; I have CPU416F-2 project (step7 manager v5.6). I am trying to communicate with the TP1200 screen via Profibus. (TIA portal V17) But it doesn't communicate via profibus. When I try it with mpi it communicates. All cable, socket, slot number, rack number, bus adress config is OK.

I didn't try it with direct addressing or S7 routing, but it didn't communicate with either.

Can you help with your experience on the subject? Life is binary!!!

where you have S7-400 PLC defined as device at your cfg (screenshot)? Looks like some cfg difference is existed. You need provide that clear cfg values you have set, to say all is ok as parameters isn't enough. Typical check at screenshot - Slot 3? You say, via MPI it is working so is your expected interface configured as DP capable or you just try connect via MPI port only and think that it is possible also via DP?

Do you have tried using a Proxy Device in TIA Portal?

perhaps its a kind of Profibus profile issue that would be cleard by using the Proxy :
