• TIA <V19 Text object = TIA V19 Text Box object.
• TIA V19 Text object is a lean version of the old Text object.
• When a TIA <V19 project will be migrated to V19 the Tex objects are automatically migrated to Text Box objects.

• Text stay available in the ToolBox > Basic Object > Text
• Text Box stay available in the ToolBox > Elements > Text box

• More simple (no border, scrollbar, background color, etc.)
• Supports multiple lines
• Used to “simple” static text information (Titles, labels, etc.)

• Can be editable online
• Has the “full proprieties set” of the Text object in the older versions ( border, scrollbar, background color, etc.)
• Used for text information that need to be edited online, or where “visual customizations” would be necessary.

TIPs:

• To edit the text online, reset the property “Miscellaneous > Read only”, however if you intend to let the edited text remanent, you should link the property “General > Text” to a Tag (e.g. internal Wstring tag) and with the propriety “Read-only” unchecked. When linked to a Tag, the default display value would be the start value (or online value) of the tag (that means, the General> Text> static value would be not more RT relevance.
• If you drag and drop a HMI tag to a Text Box the tag name will be copied on the Text Box (this functionality does not apply to text object)
