Hi all, we are trying to establish communication of analyzer over modbus RS485, where analyzer is showing data on Modbus tool( Modscan/ MBtool) at 9600 as well as 4800KBPS baud rate. But when we try to communicate this slave device with ET200SP CMptp module it gives error 81E2 at 9600 baud rate, but just by changing baud rate to 4800 the communication gets established.

What can be the possibility of this behaviour?

Can this be the limitation of transmitter device?

The 81E2 error code can be reviewed in the manual and includes the transmission speed, so it is very possible.

All the settings are same in all devices (master and all slave). Even the communication is getting established on 4800 baud rate but those analyzer devices are unable to communicate on 9600 baud rate.. what could be the reason?

If all parameters are same, then check again you configuration in CM ptp module are they same?

Are you sure CM ptp module is master? and in your RS485 network exist only one master? maybe exist more then one master and don't get value becouse RS485 can have only one master.

First try read one parameter if you can read in Modscan try read with CM ptp module and see what you get, if you get fault maybe incorect data type or lenght or try change stop bits or need to change address +1 or -1 there can be a lot problem why you can't read

If you read with modscan you must read with CM ptp module while you get fault it means something is wrong so give us more information or try change parameters or something like that
