I have a new VM with TIA portal v13 - v18 installed and licensed.  I can ping PLCs and HMIs but cannot detect them via TIA portal.

On my latest test, I have a Basic 7" HMI connected to my laptop via a USB NIC.  It is pingable from the VM, but not detectable via TIA portal or through ProSave.

Am I missing some setting for Profinet on the NIC?  Everything is default from installation and no errors.

HMI is 10.0.4.134         255.255.255.0

By me is the problem the switch.

If I try the search with the router between the PC and the S7, 0 devices found.

Connect I the PC directly without the switch, the S7 is found.

If you use the accessible devices search or "show all compatible devices" then there will be made a DCP package broadcast. If this does not work then something is blocking this, like anti virus scanner, firewall, accesspoints or routers.
