Create an AddIn wih Visual Studio

The_Wizard Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I hope everyone is well. I want to create an add-in to use within Tia Portal using visual studio, in C# language, I would like to know if there is any Siemens library that I can use within visual studio to help me with this. One of the functions I want to put in the add-in is to compile the PLC software without having to click the compile button. If you have any tips, I'm open to them.

Check the following page SIOS page for TIA Add-In developers, which contains also some example add-ins: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109817270 In addition, I recommend to use theTIA Openness Explorer to get an overview of the openness api and the object model. There is no add-in example available which triggers a compile, but FB-FC Converter could be good example how to handle blocks in an add-in. How do you think it would be easier with a add-in than clicking the button? When you download a program, it is compiled. If you want to do with a add-on without download it is a same thing, you need to execute the add-in somehow. Usually with a click of a button.
