I have a S7-1200, using the TIA portal trial I cant find the PLC to connect to it. using a ethernet cable plugged directly into the PLC and my laptop, When i go to select the network card in the portal only an amazon network card and simens network card show up, not my actual card in my laptop which i think is why i cant find the device.  Does my network card need to be bridged into the portal? if so I am lost on how to do that, When trying to mess with either network card from inside the portal virtual window I am locked out by windows defender and cant change anything.  I have set my TCP/IP 4 to 192.168.0.100 and .200 and a few other IP adresses and still no luck.  I think it is because my actual network card adapter cant be selected from inside of TIA portal but no matter what ive tried, I cant get any thing else to show up besides the amazon network card and siemens network card.

Which TIA Portal Version and Operating System Version do you exactly use?

Open Control panel in WIndows-> Set/PGPC Interface -> do you see you network adapter here in the list?

If not you can try to install the PC Identifier to renew the drivers:
