Redundancy: No redundancy

We Have been getting "Error channel XX P short circuit" messages on multiple different solenoids, on multiple different DO cards.  This is a nuisance diagnostic alarm that seems to be worse on some solenoids than others.  We have been running the same solenoids for years with these diagnostics messages with no major issues.  I do not want to disable diagnostics, but rather fix the root cause of the diagnostic.

- What does this diagnostic message mean?  What does "P" mean?

- Is there a range of coil resistances that increases the probability of this diagnostic alarm?

- Can anything be done to the circuit to lower the probability of this message while keeping existing diagnostics?
