WinCC Unified v17 Upd6 Runtime.....in TIA Portal

antsals82 Member Joined: 10/11/2020 Last visit: 5/7/2025 Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	Evening all I'm after some help. I have a WinCC Unified V17 project file; that I have been updating. This is being placed on a new server WinCC Unified RT V17 installed and update 6. When trying to send the updated project across I get an error before downloading; that the RT is a different version. So into TIA change version on the device. Shows current as V17.0.0.0. When I try to change device my only option is V17.0.0.1 or V16.0.0.0. I have looked in the Support Packages for the hardware catalog in the TIA Portal (HSP). But can't see an updated version. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to install the Runtime V17.0.0.6 on my engineering station? Appreciate your help. Ant Attachment Version Update 2024-01-22 201609.png (338 Downloads)

New software versions (updates) are introduced to fix some bugs. A new device version is created when no new features are introduced. However, I recommend that you use the highest possible device version. According to your description, I am not sure if you have also installed Update 6 of WinCC Unified ES on your engineering station. If not, please do so. It would also be helpful to see the error message during the download. Usually there should only be a warning that does not prevent the download. Kind regards Stefan
