I will start with a new project 

the problem is that  I need to use many REMOTE  stations as follows :

-  10 of FESTO CPX stations

- 10 of G120 VFDS 

- 20 OF IFM IO LINK MASTERS

-  5 HMIs

I think that the number of devices is too much to connect with one controller

IS THERE A MAXIMUM NUMBER OF DISTRIBUTED IO STATIONS  FOR ONE  PLC ??

Hi youssouf-attia,

The number of possible devices depends on the CPU used. If you are talking about remote stations, you are probably talking about PROFINET IO devices. For example, for a CPU 1515-2 PN, the technical data will show a maximum of 256 devices. For HMI devices, the number depends on the type of HMI and the connection. A mid-range to high-end CPU should be able to connect 5 HMIs, but you should also consider the amount of data. Compared to an IO device, the amount of data is much higher and therefore the communication performance may be poor.
