Hi Guys,

Need your help in securing the communication between Node-red OPCUA client and SIEMENS PLC OPCUA server using Certificates.

What worked:

• I have connected to OPCUA server from Node-red client using username-password
• I have connected to OPCUA server from Node-red client using username-password with security policy 'sign & encrypt'

What didn't worked:

• Securing the communication between OPCUA server(siemens) and node-red client using certificates.

Did securing communication between client and server worked somewhere else?

1. Yes, Using UAExpert as OPCUA client, i was successful in making the securing communication between client and server using certificates.
2. What i did here i imported the UAExpert certificate in the SIEMENS (TIA portal) and added it as trusted client.
3. Next i exported the SIEMENS OPCUA server certificate from SIEMENS (TIA portal) and added as trusted in the UA Expert 'cert' and 'crl' folder.
4. After that communication was successful.

I also trying to securing the communication between node-red client and siemens OPCUA server using certificates. But cannot able to proceed further because when i try to import the .pem/.der file located in at "C:\Users\Shubham\AppData\Roamingnode-red-opcua-nodejs\Config\PKI\own\certs" into the SIEMENS (TIA), it does not importing. Hence i cannot able to proceed further. What should i do next?

Has anyone done it?
