Hi All,

Frequently I am getting "The Application has reached the memory limit".  Please find the pop-up captured in the attachments.

I am using TIA16 on Windows 7 Virtual Machine, allocated 16GB RAM.

Please help me in fixing this.

I am having only one PLC, one HMI, 37 G120C VFDs, 3 MV420, 15 Balluff PN IO modules.

I think its not big network in the project. Also I have 16GB RAM allocated to VM and pop-up is saying its beyond 6GB.  

Any further thoughts please. Is the limitation of TIA 16 (I already installed the UP3)

Several choices:
0. Install latest V16 update in case they improved memory management.
1. Install TIA V16 in main Win 10 system which will allow more memory to be available to V16.
2. Reconfigure PC to have 32GB.
3. Break up your V16 project into smaller pieces.  For example, if your project has 10 PLCs, 15 HMIs, 72 VFDs, lots of remote IO and networking hardware, break it up into 10 projects and use F1-help on how to configure a system proxy to make it available to the other 9 projects.  Annoying indeed which is why this is the last suggestion.

Create a Support Request and ask Siemens as we end-users are not going to give you an answer you are likely to accept as final - given you read all the above and still want more details.

 I am having the same issue with V18 at 2.8GB! Has there been any advice on this issue lately? My program only has (1) S7-1215FC and (1) HMI and (1) G120C.

same recommendation applies for you as for the others before.

1. Check your pc /vm hardware setup. If you get this message at 2.8 GB, you probably have only 4GB RAM configured.
TIA Portal V18 requires 8GB RAM, recommended are 16GB and 32GB for larger projects.
