Hi all, Which CPU supports OPC-DA Client? For CPUs that do not support OPC-DA Client, is there any way to support it? Thanks in advance. Kind Regards Ugo Fabrizi |

Hello drugo85 What do you mean exactly with OPC -DA ? Do you mean: - OPC Data Access (DCOM based)? -> NO, as the name says, DCOM Based needs a Windows OS To get access to a PLC with OPC DA (DCOM) you would need a PC Based OPC Server that accesses the PLCs with S7 communication like (LINK) - OPC UA DA(DataAccess)-> S71500 Support a direct OPC UA Client on the Controller (LINK) Bye Murof |

Hello drugo85 so the classic PLCs do not have an integrated OPC Server/client, so you would need an OPc Server that can do S7 communication to get access to the PLC tags. If you have S7-1500 then you can use OPC UA Server and Client directly on the Server. If you have to access these PLCs from a OPC DA (DCOM based) Client then you can use this: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109474300
