Hello,

I have a question regarding the DXR2 controller for lighting & shading control. Do i require the controller in each separate rooms that require lighting control? Furthermore, I would not require a separate KNX bus power supply for the sensors, actuators, etc. 

Also which KNX/DALI gateway device would be required to control DALI devices?

there isn’t very clear answer, but I’ll try to explain:

1. Yes, you must have 1 DXR2 in each room segment if you use std. application from library.

2. You don’t need to have external KNX supply in case that consumption is under 50mA (max. power of internal KNX power supply)

3. You can adapt applications in RPE- please watch videos on YouTube - search for “ABT Site Room Programming Editor “

4. You can use GW PXC3.E16A-200 in case that you have a lot of different DALI groups in room (required license for ABT Pro tool) or you can use the broadcasting GW for 2 DALI lines up to 20 devices/line, type is N525D11, this device supports KNX PL-Link for easier engineering,take a look at datasheet on
