Dear all,

I submit to this forum a strange behaviour that I have seen with TIA 19 when handling strings.

I made an FC where StrIn as String that is passed as INPUT argument

I declared a StrOut as String that is the only OUTPUT of that FC

Variable i is declared as Temp (Int data type) inside the FC

If I do :

FOR i := 1 TO 16 DO

StrOut[i] := StrIn[i] ;

END_FOR;

 Then I get a perfect copy of my string, so StrOut is equal to StrIn.

Same if the FOR loop is from 1 to 8, 9 ,10, ecc.

But when I do this :

FOR i:= 4 TO 16 DO

StrOut[i] := StrIn[i] ;

END_FOR;

So I do not start from 1 but from another value (4 or 8 or 9, ecc), then the StrOut is always ' ' , meaning it's empty.

Is this nomal ?
