No communication when loading a project

Yanto Posts: 54 Rating: (2)	Hi, I'm trying to download a compiled wincc flex program which has only had a tag altered. It's on etherneton an s7-300 and a Beckhoff pcis theHMI. I've tried by using the projects - transfer method but keep getting the error -no communication. I can ping the pc and the plc. The plc is running wincc runtime which I have been led to believe needs to stop for the download but the same error appears. I read somewhere that you just drag and drop the compiled file, is that it? I've spent 18 years on Bosch plcequipment and only 3 months fully on Siemens. Any pointers appreciated

I checked and had to change the channel 2 settings and tried again,every other setting includingdirectory pathsall look correct as when I search for a *.fwx file it is only in the folder the settings are pointing to, the visuallisation pc said it was recieving a PWDATA.FWX file and the configuration pc said it was transferring the same named file. When runtime restarted it was the original file and a search of the target pc does not find any newly dated file. There are a few other pc's alsorunning runtime on this system butas both my pc and the target pc appear to be transferring I can't see itgoing anywhere else. Yanto

Once oked I get the message configuration file could not be loaded. This is not a new project all I am doing is trying to load an original project, recompiled with a small modification. regards Yanto

All I have done is try to reload a current screen with one part counter display copied to another position as a trial. I am loading it into a display that already runs the original screens. I have the same development software with current screens as the original programmersso all settings should be correct. One thing I do notice about the tag I've copied is that it is using another tag in its name almost like an array and this tag is internal with a base value. Like this Tag on screen = DB[internal tag].dbd26 internal tag properties gives a base value of 135 regards Yanto

Found unlicensed Proagent was set as Diagnostics in the toolbar down the left hand side of the screen, this looks to have been included in the compiled file that got sent to the hmi. The hmi also has an unlicensed proagent installed and the error only shows when the hmi tries to restart the visualisation. Remedy for us was to uninstall proagent from our development pc and recompile as we don't use proagent for diagnostics.
