I have 30 machines i want to add a HMI to using device proxy in TIA (Simatic project combined with TP700 HMI) to display sensor positions.

The machines are split into 3 groups of 10, each group goes back to a switch. They are all within the same network.

Do i have to be concerned about network traffic and overloading the network adding 30 HMIs?

The HMI has limitations in connecting multible PLCs

Sorry about not understanding your qustion correctly...

I thought you mean the task is to connect all HMIs to the same PLC.

I would say 30 HMIs in one network segment should be no problem if the toplogy and cabling is correct and you use switches
