I am connected to a unmanaged switch via ethernet which is connected to physical the PLC + HMI, I am able to see both devices as active on my network in TIA portal V19 and can go online with both devices. When online however my HMI buttons are not triggering my PLC logic and I'm 100% sure the buttons are configured properly, my physical PBs are triggering my PLC logic so I know there is a valid connection and my issue lies somewhere on the network (possibly?) 

I know this issue points tworads "connection quality" but I'm not sure how else to resolve this issue. I am using my Ethernet connection as the PG interface. Any help would be great. thanks.

If this do not help, then please send us some more details about used PLC/Firmware? Screenshots of configuration (connection in TIA and PGPC Interface setting)?

Do you have synchronized the Date/Time in PLC/HMI or do you even have set it to corret actual time?

(because of communication certificate validity)

My IE-PG Access is blank, should that be considered?

Date and time are not in sync on HMI settings. I only set it manually by selecting the Timezone and setting the time, but not with NTP server. There is Javascript Logic in the HMI I/O blocks expression tab that display local time to the user when UI screen is displayed, but nothing NTP related. Perhaps I should make an NTP server connection to solve this?
