PLC HMI communication issue.

PLC and HMI communication some times get lost automatically and resumes if i restart PLC again. Hardware Used:: - S7 1215C-AC/DC/Rel, KTP-400 Basic. I had done connection like following- PLC(P1) connected to HMI(P1) & PLC(P2) Connected to Laptop. When there is communication issue i can ping HMI address but not able to reach PLC IP address . Communication established again if we restart PLC. Kindly help me to resolve issue.

Hati Platinum Member Joined: 9/21/2012 Last visit: 9/10/2025 Posts: 4708 Rating: (510)	Always, before you turn off your PLC, there has been an Analog input error. So i would say this is a PLC issue, not a HMI issue. Also your own comment supports this, if you can reach the HMI, but not the PLC...

So i would say this is a PLC issue, not a HMI issue. Also your own comment supports this, if you can reach the HMI, but not the PLC... We had replaced PLC but still problem occurs. when we used external 24V supply to HMI magically problem did not occurs. Not able to find exact reason but for now system is working without any interruption.
