I have to add a PLC 410E in a PCS7 Project.

Within the project there are already two 410H PLCs and two OS servers (master and backup) and thre OS clients. These PLCs have each one a CP443-1 for connecting to the OS servers and clients, but there is no separation between terminal bus and field bus (there are the same IP range for OS clients and servers than periphery).

I have to add a new one PLC (in my case, a 410E). 

My idea is use the X5 port for connecting PLC for periphery (As-i master, ET200, G120, etc). and use the X8 port to communicate to OS Servers and clients.

It is possible (without using CP443-1) or It is mandatory to use a CP443-1 for connecting to OS Servers? How I must configure CPU for update errors date in OS?

Hi,

It should be no problem to work the new AS410E without CP443.
You should be able to have both AS configurations within one (multi)project.
