Hello Everybody!

So I have the following equipment. One engineering station that has TIA Portal V17 Professional with WINCC Advanced engineering bundle. This ES is connected to an Operation Station on which is installed WINCC Advanced runtime. All good when I try to transfer Wincc file project from ES to OS via ethernet. On the OS I am using wincc runtime loader and everything works as it should. Unfortunatelly I dont have right now the real PLC hardware so what I am trying to do is to simulate an s7-1500 PLC with PLCSIM Advanced(the simulation is on ES) but the problem is that the WinCC from OS does not comunicate with my PLCSIM Advanced instance. Is any possibility to make a bridge connection between PLCSIM Advacend virtual ethernet adpater and the real ethernet adapter from the ES, in a way that the OS can communicate with PLCSIM? Or If you have faced this situation how did you overcome it? Thanks in advanced.

you can also start the simulation of the WInCC RT Advanced on the ES and use the common PLCSim (not advanced) locally. This works also without problems and will give you the same results as on the OS.

Check only if you have set the PGPC interface correctly to the accesspoint you use in the HMI project in the connection to the PLC
