The following solution helped me get through something similar.

In the WinCC project directory, you may find a file called <Project Name>.dcf.  If you close the project and rename it to "<Project Name>.dcf.old" it may help resolve your issue.  It is rebuilt when the project starts...

I had the same problem and I couldn't find any solution. So I proceed by myself. I try to explain what I do, maybe can be useful for someone.

I had two redundant server WinCC's V15.1 stations and I had the same runtime problem.

So I completely deleted the folder with the project (make sure to do a backup), on both PCs. Then I re-created the folders and do a virgin download to the two redundant station. After this procedure I proceeded to re-attach the old trend databases.

Now all works fine.

I have the same problem, but after few hours of trouble, I noticed this:

A) In original version of my application, there are "Alarm Logging in Runtime"  and "Tag Logging in Runtime" CHECKED at Station's services.

Application was activated, I saw Start Screen for one second, then application is deactivated for "no reason".

Then I looked at PMActivate.log.

There was:

And I got "Uncpecified reason" message on RT Start window.

B) I started THE SAME application, but with Alarm Logging in Runtime"  and "Tag Logging in Runtime" UNCHECKED at Station's services. Application started-up with NO DEACTIVATION.

Normaly, Alarm window and Trends shown no data.

What is the reason of missing events "Event Global\WinCC_Event_MSRTDATA_Activate_Ok" and "Event Global\WinCC_Event_Tagloggingserver_Activate_Ok"???

Please HELP!

Have you come across any solution for this problem. Am facing the same problem. I have re installed. performed a PC format. And re installed TIA v16 Installed latest update, tried changing server name computer name project name. I have also tried deleting IM folder and project itself. I have also tried creating a new project with one screen and one button. but nothing seems to work. please help.
