Im having the same error

Interplc connection 

setup using static method in TIAv18

Connection type: Configured static S7 connection

protocol: s7 protocol via ISO-on-TCP

Online status: disconnected

Connection>> Properties>> Adress details

(partner, 03) for active connection

but communicating PLC is step7 project, Connection status in NetPro: Setup Green

Split from "Faulty: Configured static ISO-on-TCP connection. The active end of a connection is attempting to connect.".

thank you for the reply, it was now something simply but something i did not notice at the time. 

FYI, this might help someone in the future. when i created the connection in TIA, the Rack /slot number i had wrong.

PLC 1500(TIA)                                                PLC 400 (step7)

rack/slot: 0/1                                                  0/3 ( some reason, i though it had to be 0/5, because it had a cp card for industrial ethernet 0/ slot5)

secondly in the connection res. (HEX), needed to be 03 for all my s7 connection to be able to work. the local (hex) must be unique, but for the partner it had to be 03.... 

i hope this helps someone, should they get stuck. but your the experts. have a nice chuckle

eeehm ok but how is configured for this connection type old S7-300 CPU with Step7 SW? In case that it is Active connection initiator (S7-300) then it needs to do intervention with connection.
