migrate project from s300 to s1200

How can I do that? I just found info about s200 to s1200 It depends, if the old project made with Simatic Manager or Tia Portal? If it's already made with Tia Portal, the you just change the PLC in the project. If it's still in Simatic Manager form, you can perform a migration in TIA, as long as the migration option was checked, at TIA installation phase.

jacek d Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 9/10/2025 Posts: 5114 Rating: (768)	I have no idea how complicated is your existing project and how advanced functionality it uses, but being you, I'd try following: - migration S7-300 -> S7-1500 as described in Siemens guides; - creating project with S7-1200 hardware and copying all software blocks from S7-1500 into it. However if your S7-300 project contains blocks in STL then ... everything is in your hands. There is a support page with some deeper explanation of certain issues.
