When you use the mentioned CPU, you can use PUT and GET communication blocks.

Perhaps you can give some information about Error and Status of the blocks?

In the following FAQ, you will find a small example about put/get. Additionally, remember that S7-type connections are only allowed between Siemens PLCs, not for communicating with other types of CPUs.

My problem is that I couldn't find the activation parameter for the PUT/GET functions in the CPU 1214C, as indicated in the screenshot.

 Hi,

When using a S7-1200 CPU with firmware version 4 or higher, you have this parameter.

But when you use S7-1200 with firmware version 3 (the one you are using), this parameter is not available. PUT and GET is automatically permitted.

If you use TIA V19 and a very new FW then you have to do a little bit more to activate the Put/Get:
