I have made a stand alone machine with a siemens 1200 in it. The machine worked perfect

Now I modified it to take different fixtures which have a Profinet I/O in them. I got this working but now when I want to run the machine without any fixtures in then I have a Error Light on the PLC

So I thought I could enable the PLC to only look for the Profinet devices when a fixture is plugged in but I don't know how to do this 

basically I'd like the PLC to run with or without a Profinet device plugged in
