Denilson Pegaia Platinum Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 11/14/2024 Posts: 4352 Rating: (1452)	Hi, as from TIA V18 (with the new CPU’s FW), there is available a new block, Ramp Soak). RampSoak instruction is a ramp function that generates “an output value that follows a configurable profile on a time-dependent basis. Every point of this profile has a target value and a time value. When the profile is executed, the target value of the current point is reached within the time value.” (see more details in the TIA System Help in, Information System, Program a PLC, Instructions, Technology, PID Control, RampSoak). TIP: OB: it could be run from program cycle OB or from a cyclic interrupt OB, but depending on the time round precision needed it would be nice if it runs from a cyclic interrupt OB set with a call interval submultiple from the desired steps. Points: You can set up 50 point pairs. The pairs Points x Time are defined in the internal (static) variables of the block (UserData.Point[i].Value, UserData.Point[i].Time). The array starts with position 1 (not 0). Time is a real value (not a time data type) that express time in seconds unity It is necessary to set the number of used points UserData.NumberOfUsedPoints The configured points will be taking in account after set Validate input to True or after CPU changes from STOP to RUN The ramp started with the positive edge of Enable, but stopped with the negative edge of it. Configuration steps Call the block in OB Set the number of the points and his values Start the CPU or set Validate to 1 Change Enable from 0 to 1 In this example, the points and commands are set in the WhatchTable1 and the result monitored in the Trace1 Attachment Project4_20221205_0733.zip (288 Downloads)

Freewheeling thought.
