Value status of digital I/O modules

In one project I read value status from digital input and output modules and all bits are 1 "no fault". Interface module is "IM 155-6 PN ST", digital input modules are "DI8x24VDC ST" and digital output modules are "DQ8x24VDC/0.5A ST". A CPU is "CPU 1515-2 PN". In another project value statuses are always 0, though all input/output signals are read/written correctly. Interface module is different "IM 155-6 PN/2 HF", digital input and output modules are the same "DI8x24VDC ST", "DQ8x24VDC/0.5A ST". A CPU is "CPU 1517-3 PN/DP". TIA Portal 18 Update 3. Did anyone meet anything similar?
