Possibly BS, but it has been this way since the first PLCs were invented.

Try converting your Ladder logic into a real-world device using physical relays, contactors, auxiliary contacts, and see how hard it is to get running without intermediate BS coils.

It will be very difficult to get to operate, but more importantly, you will never be able to troubleshoot that mess.

So it also goes with intermediate BS coils which somehow turn into very useful nuggets of useful information when troubleshooting a messy PLC logic which is NOT filled with Intermediate BS coils.  You would basically be forced to add those intermediate BS coils to even troubleshoot the problem.

You can give it BS labels all you like.  You will come to rely on and perhaps even love Intermediate BS coils.  I know I certainly have - as have many others, including Siemens.

Take a look at their sample applications.  Filled with Intermediate BS coils everywhere - sometimes disguised as internal INIT or RESET Bool Static tags within their custom FBs.

Thanks for your thoughts, but it doesn't stand a chance against AI, which will swallow it soon. Even I, who doesn't have a clue about programming, can make pretty complex working SCL programs using AI without much bother. TIA is stiff and raw.

Some guys claimed here that few programs that I wanted to make can't be made in TIA, but AI made them easily, and they work perfectly.

With basic knowledge of TIA and hardware, ability to formulate tasks correctly and a bit of patience one can make x15 faster SCLs instead to play endlessly with LAD intermediate coils and such stuff.

When I say AI, I didn't mean [...] chatgpt, which hasn't a clue about TIA.

SCL is filled with intermediate coils all over the place.  They just hide better.

In SCL, it is easy to get into trouble by not having a clue what you are doing.  But, that will not happen to you, will it?

What about all the lawyers getting temporarily disbarred over their ill-advised use of ChatGPT / AI to generate court documents that they signed as being accurate?  Are you willing to stake your company's reputation on software you have no clue why it works?

Yes my Sensei, that's correct!  It has to be rigid since it deals with great risks. I am checking my programs with great care. I don't know how to make SCLs, but I know  how to test and break them. As well I can read and understand SCLs. I am testing them with real hardware, not PLCsim. They work 101%. Thank's for PLC 101 advice!

P.S. I am sure that devils from Zimens use some corporate AI to make TIA.
