Industrial ethernet comminication

wreng Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Hell everybody i would like to reduce the responce time of ehthernet comminication. My project is Main PLC station : CPU416, CP443-1 andseveral wireless access points(W788-1RR). Mobile PLC station : 15 CPUs equiped with CPU314, CP343-1 and Client modem(w747-1RR). Connection : ISO-on-TCP In the program, AG_send, AG_rcv block called every cycle. Main station and mobile stations are in close in 15 square meters. Problem is the responce time from command to reply is around 5sec. it is too long. Is there any solution for it? Thank you

How is the IP address allocated and what is the Subnet mask of the associated network ??? What is the response time of the individual stations when you ping them ?? How are you triggering the AG_SEND cyclically - with a timer or a clock memory bit or is it set permanently to "1"?? Setting the bit permanently to "1" can lead to such delays. Since you are using AG_SEND / AG_RECV, I would suggest the following 1. AG_RECV can run cyclically since they respond only when new data is received on the CP. 2. AG_SEND should be triggered only when there is a change of value in the data you are sending to the partner. This will reduce the communication load to an extent 3. After every trigger of AG_SEND wait for the DONE / ERROR bit before triggering the AG_SEND once again.

But did you check the calculated response time ?
