I have a problem with setting up communication between PLC S7-1200 and Power Supply EA-PS 9080-340. The Power Supply has 1 Ethernet port and supports Modbus and SCPI protocols. It should be possible to remote control that device from PLC.

1. I tried to use Open User Communication and send the data in the SCPI language. I managed to connect devices to each other but after sending some data, it happens nothing. I sent the data as a string or array of chars or array of bytes, it doesn't help. Is it possible to use the SCPI language and send commands by TCP/IP?

2. The Second option is to use the Modbus protocol and send specific bytes from PLC to Power Supply. I'm wondering it can work this way?
